The clock has been set back an hour, the temperature has fallen drastically and bright colors are a huge hit on the runways this Fall. Be transcended to a tropical paradise with the warm hues of the season. Some of my favorites for the season are: burnt orange, primrose yellow, royal blue and egg plant.

Colored leaves, cool breezes, rain drops and mums are all nature’s gifts to the Fall Season. Rich textured fabrics from tweed to corduroy to velvet are the season’s gifts to the fashionista. They are everywhere in coats, pants, tops, accessories and my favorite, shoes. Suede and pony hair shoes are in with a variety of colors and prints! With all the fabulous textures that are here for the season, you are bound to find the perfect match for you. And when you do, don’t forget to accessorize to complete the look.

It is the season for textured fabrics such as velvet, suede, leather etc, sparkles, shine, glamour and the colored skinny jeans. I must confess it took me a while to be a fan and now I am hooked. I first fell in love when I saw the colored skinny jeans in one of my favorite colors. From then on I knew it would be one of my fashion staples for Fall. You can find them in a variety of vibrant colors and cuts from your favorite stores. My personal favorites are from Ann Taylor. For the girl on a budget you can find the colored skinny jeans at Old Navy for $19. These jeans are so versatile you can rock them with just about anything pumps, boots, peplum tops, button down shirts, sweaters and more.  Have fun with the latest trends even if it is only for the season.

Ok ok it is official Fall is here and it is going nowhere and I have the climate to prove it! Almost without warning the temperature dropped from the high 70’s to the 60’s. Brrrrrrr……But who is complaining, there is still lots to look forward to namely the season’s fashion and family holidays. A few fashion trends for the season include textured fabrics such as suede and pony hair, bright colors and the clutch, which in my mind is a timeless accessory. Whatever way you chose to wear these trendy styles be carefree, creative and fearless! 🙂

Wearing white after Labor Day is no longer a fashion faux pas. For those who thread on the side of caution, incorporating a few pieces of white with an outfit may do the trick. For others, layering white with Fall colors is within the limit of  their comfort zone. Then there are those of us who are a little more carefree and wear white without fear. Though Summer fashionably ended on Labor Day we still have a few almanac days left to enjoy the warm sunny days ahead. Luckily blues and brights have spilled over into what’s in for Fall fashion giving ample opportunities to extend summer wears and save a few bucks for Christmas shopping. One summer activity that extends into Fall are cruises. There is no better way to spend a cool evening than sailing the seas over dinner and cocktails in Summer/Fall transitional pieces in timeless colors. Enjoy transitional fashion and happy sailing!

The days are drawing near where coats, scarfs and sweater will be front center in the fashion world and sandal and shorts will be a thing of the past. The good thing is this is only for a season or two. Then the cycle begins again.
